Venture Expeditions offers a variety of cycling trips each year. These trips focus on experiential giving in the form of cycling great distances, day after day, to raise awareness and support for projects working to fight poverty, slavery, and other forms of oppression. Our cycling trips consist of three styles of tours: supported, partially-supported and self-supported.
Supported Tours: Supported tours consist of trips that have a support vehicle following the team. The support vehicle carries all the supplies needed for the trip, allowing the rider to cycle without having to carry any gear on their bicycle.
Partially-Supported Tours: Team members will be expected to carry their gear and personal belongings on their bikes. There will be a support vehicle accompanying the team in case of sickness or injury.
Self-Supported Tours: Self-supported tours consist of trips that do NOT have a support vehicle following the team. These trips are lower in price. Individuals participating on self-supported tours carry their gear on their bicycles. With this extra weight on the bicycle, riders on the self-supported tours generally cover less ground in a day than riders on the supported tours.
