The Surprise Du Jour Tour--Pacific Coast Hwy, in partnership with author and speaker Terry Esau, is Venture's only one-week cycling tour. The route takes you along the coastline of California from San Francisco through Big Sur, the wine country, Santa Barbara and down to Santa Monica. This ride provides an opportunity for cyclists to interact with Terry and the teachings from his book Surprise Me. This tour, more so than others, will intentionally focus on Soul Discovery, the second half of our mission statement. This will be a physical and spiritual retreat, sprinkled with surprises.

Tour Overview

Dates: May 23-29, 2010

Participants: 15 maximum

Challenge Level: Intermediate - Strenuous but most determined people can do it

Support Level: Supported- A vehicle will carry team/personal gear as well as provide support for participants that need assistance.

Inclusions: Experienced Leaders, Accommodations, Breakfasts, Tour Coordination, Reasonable Bike Repairs, Apparel (Jerseys & Tour Shirts)

Exclusions: Travel to and from start/end locations, bike, personal gear, lunches and dinners, spending money

Lodging: Hotel Accommodations

Trip Cost: $2,985 for double occupancy, add $600 if you want single occupancy

The Route

The 500 mile route starts in San Fransisco and ends in Los Angeles. The route takes you on the Pacific Coast Highway along the ocean to places like Big Sur, Santa Cruz and Santa Monica.
