Venture Local (Coming Spring 2012)
Venture Local is an opportunity to be involved at a local level in the Venture community and its mission to engage people in God’s story of justice. Through Venture Local you can bike, hike or run in your area with your friends, or individually, to make a difference around the world.
It's Simple.
1. Sign-up to run, ride or hike in 3 local races or events if there are none, you can do your own, over the course of the next year.
2. Decide to run, bike or hike for:
- (Ride:Well) clean-water projects and clinics for underdeveloped areas of Africa,
- (Run Free or Just+Hope) the fight against injustice and oppression in Southeast Asia,
- (Venture Expeditions) the mission to engage communities around the world in God’s story of justice.
3. (Optional) purchase a Jersey or T-shirt (at cost) to represent your cause at the local events.
4. Try to raise $500 over the course of the year for your cause. When you reach your goal we’ll send you next years cycling, hiking, running kit for free.

For Teams
Venture Local is great for communities. You and your friends could start at team or club at your church, school or neighborhood. You could run/bike/hike together in local events and raise funds collectively for a cause.
Goals
Our goal is that the Venture Community is group of people who are active year-round, year-in and year-out, in their local community on behalf of global justice issues. We are more than an event-driven, cause-driven community. We desire to be a community that truly lives differently, on behalf of others who need our voice to speak up for them.
