About Me:
Hi, I'm a country lad at heart, and enjoy anything outdoors. I am very fond of spontaneous adventure. Last summer I had the amazing opportunity to cycle across Western Canada, and have realised that I want to keep touring more, with God-sized purposes.
Birthday:
May 10, 1985
Why I'm involved in Venture Expeditions:
I'm doing the Underground Railroad tour this summer as I feel that God as been leading me here over the past year. I have been praying about how to be involved, and if there is anything I can do for bringing justice to victims of the sex slave trade and other such injustices. Soon after, I found out about this ride, and it really resonated with me.

I haven't really done mud wrestling, but mud frisbee - definitely.

One of my favorite things to do when I'm back home in the midwest is to play in rainstorms. There's nothing quite like a warm downpour. All the rains here are cold and to be avoided if possible. But I love jumping in puddles, playing frisbee in the rain, or turning a hill into a giant slip-n-slide. =o) Good memories. Oh, and I'll try to remember to make reference to Celsius temperatures in future posts. =o)

David, welcome to the Underground! How is training going? I'm really excited for this tour (having never ridden a bike more than just around town). Is your snow gone? I'm still trying to deal with snow and ice when riding outside. I can't wait for this summer.

Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby... I will definitely check it out. It's good to hear you've been having nice riding weather! It's definitely spring now on in California - all the flowers (and weeds) are blooming and the weather's getting warmer. Sounds like a sweet job! I don't know what a bulk flour system is, but with traveling AND a bakery you really can't go wrong.

How's the support letter going? Raising support is definitely a lot more fun than I thought it would be. It's so crazy how God provides, even through the most unlikely people! If you get a chance, definitely blog about your adventures in fund raising. It's always such a blessing to hear about ways God is working in our team or even just to pray for each others' struggles.

Things are going pretty well for me. I've been finding lots of people to ride with, which is great because I get just a little nervous riding alone, and I've been able to "cross train" with some basketball and hiking. I'm starting in on IJM President Gary Haugen's Good News About Injustice to kind of prep for the tour. I'll let you know how it goes!

Hey David, how's it going? I'm so excited to ride with you this summer! I'm thinking it will be pretty amazing, God-sized even (that may be my new favorite adjective)!
