- I am involved with Venture Expeditions because God led me here...Just a handful of months ago, I knew nothing (and I really do mean nothing) about modern-day slavery or human trafficking. I was made aware of this tremendous issue and it broke my heart. So when I found out about Venture Expeditions and the Underground Railroad Tour, I couldn't say no.

Greetings from Linden
The trip so far has been more wonderful than I could have ever asked or imagined.
Currently, I am sitting in Cornerstone Church in Linden, Alabama, surrounded by some of my new best friends. To get here today, we rode 60 miles from Jackson, Alabama. To get to Jackson, we rode 85 miles from Mobile. To get to Mobile, I rode 16 hours in a car from Michigan.

Psalm 12:5
A few days ago it was beautiful out so I went for a ride and found a bench at the top of a hill overlooking an expanse of trees and the Grand River. I took my shoes off and sat cross legged while I read. For no obvious reason, I decided to read Psalm 12. I got to verse 5, which says, "'Because of the oppression of the weak and the groaning of the needy, I will now arise,' says the Lord. 'I will protect them from those who malign them."
