About Me:
I'm a free spirited college student that enjoys friendships and the more simple things in life, and I love bikes. I'm currently playing banjo/bass in a southern folk band, go to school at the University of North Texas, and recently was hired to Hot Box Pizza for advertising and marketing.
Birthday:
April 26, 1989
Why I'm involved in Venture Expeditions:
I'm involving myself with Venture Expeditions and IJM because there is a lurking evil occurring in the world that most people are unaware of, modern day slavery. These two companies are leaders of an effort to end slavery and human trafficking through activism and promoting awareness.

I look forward to this expedition fondly as a time to grow spiritually, help some fellow humans in need, and hopefully excite future activists.

7-24/25 Rest day in wacky Milwaukee/Money makin day in Milwaukee

24- Feels so good to veg out and do nothing. I was close to stabbing

Karl when he woke me up with an air horn from a nap. Besides watching

Inception and taking a short jog I just loafed around the Salter's house

and loved it.

25- We did a lot of Just + Hope reppin' today and I think we were able

to raise a lot of money and tell a bunch of people about the cause. I

was a bit grumpy during the morning because I was getting tired of

churchin it up. It… Continue

7-23 Plymouth> Milwaukee, WI

We postponed our ride till after lunch and I'm glad we did because we

had clear skies and were able to enjoy the scenery much more. I was

pretty disappointed with how dingy Milwaukee was, hopefully the whole

town wasn't as ghetto as what we rode through. It was a fun ride knowing

we were going to a resting weekend at a teammate's house. I also felt

more at home riding through a city, rather than passing corn fields all

day.

At the Salter's house we just… Continue

7-22 Green Bay>Plymouth, WI

This was probably the most frustrating and miserable day so far. The

first few miles weren't too bad and the rain was pretty bearable until I

got a front flat, rain strengthened, and the head wind got

progressively stronger. By the last few hills I was climbing them slower

than I could have walked up them. Any truck that passed by I would put

on my most miserable face hoping they would give me a ride. I yelled my

way up the last hill and made it to the amazing… Continue

7-21 Wausau> Green Bay, WI

Doyle and I took sweep today which was fun taking a relaxed pace and

stopping to look at stuff. I'm so glad he is on this trip, he has kept

me smiling, focusing on God, and reminding me to live life with purpose.

Even though we went 105 miles it was a real easy day with the tailwind.

Once we got to our host home I realized how great it has been being

totally removed from the media. People never realized how saturated they

are by what they see and hear and how… Continue
