I've been home a week now but adjusting to this new/old life has not been easy. I still wake up on Africa time. My stomach still craves Java House. I haven't laughed as hard as I did with my team. All-in-all I feel a little lost.



The trip is still super fresh and I'm sure in a few weeks waking up at 5am will be a distant memory but one thing I hope is that I never lose this almost unbearable feeling to live out the adventure that Christ has called me too.

Welp, I made it home this past Sunday. The flights were long but it made it much more bearable to have a friend with me the whole time. All the girls from the team were lucky enough to fly from Nairboi to London together. When it was time, it was really hard to part.

My life was changed today. You know how sometimes there are certain events in your life that you know you will never forget. Today I had about 56 of those events.



Today was our last day at the secondary school in Dandora. We went in there with the intentions of getting all of our benches finished but God had a different plan for today. Today was awesome. I really could just leave it at that. But I won't. We hit up KDS secondary school again today for some more bench making and painting. Our goal is to have 10 benches done by tomorrow. we are 3 2/3 benches away from meeting that goal. 10 may not sound like a lot but when you consider that each of us has had to learn how to create something out of nothing it really is a big deal. 10 benches will eventually turn into 40 benches which will mean that these kids will have a place… Continue
