What changes a persons life? A child or a relationship. A new house or job. A death or loss. For me it was 18 days and 9 people. I cannot put into word what happened or how it happened, but I know that in 18 days 9 almost strangers became family.

This week as we are at KDS, the team is making benches. If you did not know, I have never made a bench before. So the team arrives and sees a few piles of wood, some hand saws, some chisels, and some hammers. My first thought was, "ummm what in the world are we going to do."
