Well, I pretty much got my whole perspective on life rocked by this trip.

As I've just returned to the states, the realization has come upon me that I will miss dearly the hot pink blankets of my hotel room bed which I shared with Andrew from Canada and Nick from Tenessee. A blessing. That is exactly what Kenya Children's Fund Kinyago-Dandora School is to the students. These kids have true hope. The kind of hope hat ignores the fact that they are living in the largest slum in east Africa. The kind of hope that doesn't view their situation as dismal, unsanitary, unhealthy, and sad. Sometimes life throws you a curveballs, today, one hit me in the eye. It was in the form of wood. As we were using our fancy cirular saw that was bought especially for this bench-building project without glasses, God changed the course of the day.
