well we have been without internet access for the past several days, so i will attempt to catch you up with how things have come to a close for the africa end of our adventure:

the last night the entire team went to a restaurant to partake in some local cuisine. included in the night's eats were: chicken gizzards, crocodile, goat, and camel. the camel was the best of the bunch. the team had a great evening eating, dancing, and telling stories. that evening we stayed up together in one room til after 2 am.

the 3 fellas, nick, tim, and and andrew all left for the airport at 5 that morning. the 5 ladies all left that night, after a day of shopping, packing, and a final stop at our team favorite - java house. that evening, candace and i watched the us team pull even with england for their first match of the world cup. we missed watching such a big event with our new friends from the team, and our old friends from back in dallas.

finally, this morning we got up and went to another church in the dandora area of nairobi. it was a great experience. about 70-80 folks packed in a structure the size of a garage. the service included tons of singing, several testimonies, and a huge pig that walked right by the door. all of this only took 4 hours - that's right, the service was 4 hours long. and we loved it. (but we will not be encouraging our services in dallas to go that long)

we are finished packing, showered, and ready to load up and head to the airport. we fly out at 11pm, 9 hours to london, 5 hour layover, 10 hours to dallas, then lots of kisses for lola and justus.

the blogs are not enough to explain how great this adventure has been. i fear our stories that we tell in person, will not do this justice as well. nonetheless, we are excited to see everyone and give it our best shot. see many of you soon.
