My life was changed today. You know how sometimes there are certain events in your life that you know you will never forget. Today I had about 56 of those events.
Today was our last day at the secondary school in Dandora. We went in there with the intentions of getting all of our benches finished but God had a different plan for today. Today he wanted us to connect with the kids on a deeper level. So we did. Every time I looked around I saw someone from the team letting at least one (but usually 5 or 6) student help them with whatever they were doing. Winnie was so patient as a huge crowd of jr. high boys took turns helping with the mural. Various people like Tim, Nick and Andrew were teaching boys how to build the benches. Candace was painting benches with students. Carmen, Sarah, Suisan and I played some dancing games with some of the girls. It was a great afternoon.
Towards the end of our day we had another assembly but this time the students were the ones entertaining us. I'm not really sure that I've ever seen the light of God shine as brightly as I did today. I watched these kids worship the Lord through song and it was truly an amazing experience. I don't think that I can even articulate words to describe the beauty that surrounded me today but everybody should know that there is a school in Kenya called Kinyago-Dandora School that is raising up leaders. If you ever feel led to look into it more please do. There are opportunities to partner with them and help support these kids.
Tomorrow we will be at the primary school. I'm expecting to have another life-changing day
