I'm holding things closer
maybe giving things more
gradual

I'm believeing
as if it was all free
to choose to do so

here is a desire
here is a dread

to share either is not
so much a shame
these days

there are no thieves

no destroyers
no murderers
and no disguisers of light

and in the free man's land
there just may be
no lies

they get placed in the light

come, please, go sit by the sign on the door
it says
"welcome to...
the free man's land
just may be where you belong
so make yourself at home..."
